Dudes I believe and I'm sory I have to stand up against you legendary Naruto Manga readers BUT... Konohamaru is the one that's rival to Naruto like Gai and Kakashi are!!! Well Gai got himself really stronger after he matched with Kakashi! Anyway I think it's common sense that you idolize a strong person in Narutoverse and you wanna be like him even if you find your way and do your first steps using his first steps just like konohamaru did with Naruto. Just like Naruto did with Minato through Jiraiya! I think it's the same thing!!
