i dnt think the sword has to be the same metal as asumas because asuma said the metal absorbed chakra wich may be why he can through it because it has its own sorce of chakra sausuke mite not be able to throw it with the lightnin chakra but as its a sword and not a knife he wouldnt need to anyway.
