I found it strange in the first place that Zoro is willing to take possession of another guy's sword. Zoro must be pretty desperate.

Why is that? I don't find it strange at all. In order to be the best swordsman your obviously going to need a good pair of swords, and Ryuma's sword(can't remember it's name) is indeed a powerful one. I'm sure Zoro is itching to get Mihawk's black sword.

Wo wo, you make Zoro sounding like Tashigi. A sword is a swordman's soul and life, it is dishonorable to take it without the owner's permission. But then again, One Piece does tend to bend laws a bit. Zoro doesn't believe in Bushido anyway.

As for the Black Sword, just imagine Zoro putting that into his mouth.

Yeah but once a good swordsman is defeated just leaving his blade on the ground would be "dishonorable". As for the black sword I never really saw Zoro actually using it, but more like having it as a trophy type thing.

I don't think this fight is over, i think wants to show Zoro in a long drawn out fight where he is really pushed to his limits. And if you notice Zoro isn't wearing his bandanna either.
