or mabe it will teach through example and Itachi will die, then sasuke will have nothing left.

Methinks Sasuke is going to beat Itachi, and when he does, they become good brothers again. BUT, at that moment some bad guy (Tobi probably) steps in and finishes Itachi. Sasuke goes mad and ..

That's how Itachi dies.
