You can download animes. Some sites I go to are:

    Ani Down
    Anime Breaker
    Naruto Chaos

I'll look for the other ones. But those are ones I frequently use.

Would be convenient if you tell people the program's called Windows Movie Maker and that it's located in your <local disc>:/Program Files/Movie Maker folder.

    Other than that, cool stuff.

Boredom does a lot to you, but I kind of wonder why this is a sticky at all unless people are interested in seeing the 'net being flooded by all those who make "AMVs" but really are just some clips stuck to a piece of audio. It should also be noted that newer versions of Windows no longer come with WMM as a default program but must be downloaded as a part of the Live Essentials package (can be selected as a separate install). I assume most of this guide also describes how to import and edit media is now very different due to the overhaul in the GUI of WMM.

It's just that while WMM may be great for a hobby video editor who just wants to upload some video clips from their camera to Youtube, good AMVs really require one to get a decent editing program like Adobe After Effects, Sony Vegas Pro etc. to achieve any kind of decent editing level at all. Further, it is really a no no not getting anything but raws or high quality dubs (WITHOUT water marks!) for your AMV as your source.

Really, if you want to do something creative, why not put some actual effort into it? If you want your AMV to stick out from the masses ever so slightly it requires basic stuff like lip sync when necessary, good rhythm timings and so forth. It's not something you do in a couple of hours.

    /end of rant
    Avatar and signature by me.
