The only way for this work out if chinese or japanese film studios make it first.

Then a western film studio could then remake it based from a good movie to work with already.

It certainly can be done extremly well like lord of the rings. Same thing for metal gear solid, the story elements have alot depth that can easily make a good movie.

theres a movie out there thats really close to naruto from a manga called basilisk
great action and the lead characters have ocular powers.

you really get those hidden villages etc etc.
