truth of the matter is no one kows who came first. for all we know the hyuuga may have been a renegade clan like the uchiha just kinda like an ANBU since they have so many secrets and maybe didn't decide to go to konoha until after the whole madara vs shondaime fight. besides hinatas father remembers the ninetails attack on konoha so that puts the hyuuga clan in konoha for at least 12years then look at the fact the clan has elders so on average that would put the hyuuga in konoha for at the very least 50 years and madara said during his little story that it was 80 years prior to the current timeline so the hyuuga may have joined konoha 30years after it was created

with previous posts form the 1ST page with exception of Armago i can see som faults in my thread.its still dosent make sense to me why the hyuga werent metioned in madaras flash backs with such a powerful eye techniques surley they should have been 1 of the srtongest. i still thibk thres a dark mystery behind their byakugan .

The Hyuuga were probably one of the strongest clans but not the strongest two. And why would Madara mention them to Sasuke? It wouldn't serve any purpose.

Also, maybe the Hyuuga joined the 'Senju Alliance' before the Uchiha. It seems that the Senju were peace loving clan and probably tried to bring as many clans under their name peacefully, the Hyuuga being one of them, and the Uchiha being the last.

What I'm trying to say is that the leaf was formed from the union of Senju and Uchiha, but maybe the Hyuuga were under the same banner as the Senju. Like the US and Florida, Florida is it's own state but all these different states are under the same flag and coalition. Now the Uchiha joining would be like Mexico all of a sudden becoming part of the US. That would create a whole new entity, just like the leaf.

That might be true only if you assume that the Uchihas might have encountered the Hyuugas at one point in time.
