I just read it (i normally read each chapter 2-3times before posting lol) but it seemed like Monet was confident in a fight vs Zoro, which would only be the case if he doesn't have the ability to finish her.

Well, if Zoro fought as normal, he would slice some walls down, which would effectively kill everyone.

I hoped for a moment we'd have Nami vs Monet seeing as Nami could conjure up some heat pretty rapidly with the new Clima Tact, but to no avail. I'm not sure why Zoro isn't simply destroying Monet, maybe he has a weakness against swordswomen, the only other one he fought was Tashigi and he could even move against her, let alone cut her.

But I doubt Tashigi can defeat Monet alone, so maybe Zoro will have to bite the bullet here. He told Luffy to stop dicking around, he's not exactly being serious either.

The only reason zoro hasn't sliced Monet in half yet is because he doesn't believe in attacking women. just look back pn his first fight with Tashigi in louge town/

^That, but look even farther back to when he was training and he struggled against Kuina. It is likely he has a "weakness" towards female swordsman, maybe even female fighters in general, similar to how Sanji is chivalrous towards women (although calling Monet "bitch" (if correct translation) is quite un-chivalrous)). Zoro doesn't believe in truly defeating them because of his past and what Kuina said about females and their ambition, so possibly he doesn't wish to be thre reason a girl doesn't accomplish her mission/ambition.

How does everyone feel about this new subset of Logia that Oda has been introducing lately? Well, it's been a long manga, so I can certainly understand if he has to get a little more specific about his elements. Cause before we met Monet, all of us would have thought that her power would be covered by Aokiji's fruit. Same with Ace and Akainu (sort of). Caribou is swamp, while Croc is Sand, which are really just two different kinds of earth. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a "Smog Smog" fruit user. Or "Steam". Both of which makes Smoker cry :-(

I think oda's trying to fit all the logia natures within the idea that the natural elements are Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. Each of the cannon logia so far can fall under one of those categories. The only acceptions so far have been light and dark.
