I hope it's more manga based. I did like the FMA anime; the only anime that deviates from the manga and was still good in my opinion. And FMA is still one of my favourite mangas of all time.

Well, the title has the number 2 in it, so it has to continue in some way from the previous season/movie. If it's an entirely new one, it should have a slightly different title than the first, and it shouldn't indicate that it's a sequel, since it wouldn't be. Like The Hulk and The Incredible Hulk. :/

Despite the title Full Metal Alchemist 2, it doesn't state that its a sequel but a new anime series. The "2" takes the place of any new form of title that they might come up with, but they were probably lazy. Or they will name it later on. I mean final fantasy games all go in numeric sequences but almost everytime they are not direct sequels.

Okay. I am so looking forward to this. I was hoping they would go more into this. =] I actually watched the dubbed instead of the subs and I rarely do that. Thanks for the news.
