So it seems a new FMA anime has been confirmed. I take it that this will be based off of the manga, in contrast to the first anime series which became original content after a while. What is everyone else's views on this?

cool, more FMA anime... i liked the first series, the only question i have is, will this one follow the manga storyline or it will be like the first series of FMA anime?

I hope that it would follow the manga, since there is an entire plot that it can take from it. Though that leaves the question as to how it will begin. Would it start off with the same first story? or start off where the anime trailed into original stuff.

as a die hard FMA fanatic, i'd love for it to really happen. and yes, i'd much prefer for it to be based more off of the manga than for it to pick up were the old anime ended. though it'd be weird for some ppl to just forget the old anime story, i really don't see how they could make another anime without including ling, ran fan, and all the other great characters the manga has introduced, so i'd think it'd have to somewhat follow the current manga story.(though i would kind of miss seeing al without his armor.)

anyway this has officially moved to the top of my "looking forward too" list as far as anime goes. here's hoping it really happens...

Man, I'm really pumped about seeing this. I hope it does start a similiar way to the original anime. Only with more badass animation like Ultimate Hellsing.

Interesting, FMA is a great series, it even has a good dub.

Great! I have watched only one anime episode and I can say that this info is very optimistic. The plot in the manga is awesome and I can't wait to see it animated.
