Gantz is amazing because it questions certain parts about humanity and what is inside a person's heart and mind.
like when the little boy is abused at home and kicked in the stomach and dies. i wanted to hurt the mother and the dude that kicked the child. and the truth is that sories of abuse like this do exist in our society.
or like how kurono is always thinking about sex most people do think like that. you look at a girl and in that split second you know if you would like to bone or not.

I stopped reading it a while ago.

But come on, its about how people are coping with mindless and irrational violence. That was cool for a while, but chapter after chapter after chapter, ugh. I understand how it tries to be "realistic" with people's actions and feelings, but most of the time its just Kurono's emo depression. Depression and helplessness doesn't make something automatically realistic. It's the same way Evangelion tried to be "realistic," make your protagonist emo. I wasn't too happy about him either.

Maybe I'm just not the target audience.

i first saw the anime, and it really sucked, literally each scene where they couldnt shoot because they felt remorse, just took ages.
so i switched to the manga, its far superior to the anime, its allright, nothing groundbreaking tho.
but what i really wonder about are the characters, i mean c'mon, every now and then they try to establish some new ones, that kato guy, kishimoto, those 2 jedi guys (who were the coolest, really)... i mean they just kill them off so fast, too fast so i would actually care, and too fast so that i actually could acknowledge them. by the time i read like chapter 150 i stopped caring about the characters cuz i knew, some new will come and disappear.
thats what i dont really like about that, other than that its a cool manga.

That's just horrible.....if they use another language, they should use it properly.

Well, I yet have to see a mangaka that uses a foreign language properly. I keep thinking that they use Google to translate when I read them. Bleach is a good example.

i think they used babelfish or google language service for the translation.
just try it, type in something english and translate to german.
