Okay this week's DA was epic for one reason. NEW OUTFITS

or rather...new outfit - for Elle.

Anyhoo..for the reference, here's the page:

The colors are very good...

But I don't see much of shading :( ...

Thanks fxu....I did some light shadings, but it's an area I'm not yet comfortable in.

Give me a couple more go's.

Also, when coloring black, don't do black black.

Put it to a dark grey, like #1d1d1d... or something within that range, so you can still do the shading in the dark parts by putting it even darker.

Tips on shading: Imagine a sun on the top right, or top left...and then imagine it in your head as to where do you think the shading goes. Clothe folds, hands/fingers, under the hair, neck, etc etc. It's a trial and error thing... you can't get it wrong if it's your first time :]

Learn by looking at other colorings, from people with more expertise than me... I'm just a noob

Well...you're a great n00b and those are some nice tips, especially the black thing. I did sorta imagine a sun but I was a bit timid at doing the shading. Next time around....I'll kick my imagination into action.
