    The Earl's crying

I've totally just figured out why the Earl cries.

When Skin Boric is changing into a Noah in chapter 96, the Earl cried.

He is also seen crying in chapter 134.

Wouldn't that, you know, hint to Allen becoming the 14th at that time?
That the Earl cries when a Noah appears?

If this has totally been posted, delete this. XD I didn't bother to check whether it did or not.

    Nice theory.
I remember the Earl crying when the ark was "downloaded" (before Allen played the piano) and when lullubel asked him why he cried he said something I don't really remember. Maybe he cried because the 14th was starting to awaken?

Hmmm...its possible, I'm not totally convinced that the Earl's crying is exclusive to a Noah being born, or simply foreshadowing or such, but I do like the connection made.

    Spoiler!

Why don't more people read these mangas?

I have a theory that the Earl has a great hatred for the pain that God put humanity through during the last "apocalypse", and the memories that are associated with the Noah's are shared on some level with the Earl.

His crying could be genuine sympathy, but with strong traces of malice for god behind it. He has constantly referred to the innocence as the devil, and with the advent of this hidden side to the war, there could be something more to the innocence than the order and exorcists actually realize.

First major case is that of Suman Dark when he became a Togaochi, they say that his heart gave into the darkness of the noah's, and the innocence reacted to his betrayal of god, but what if the innocence is actually a burden instead of a savior of man? Even Lenalee has said that he hates the innocence.

That is why i feel the path that Allen walks is one that is meant to hold the weight of both an exorcist and a Noah, it is through his relation to both that he may share his "love" for both humans and the akuma. The 14th has yet to fully manifest, but there are certainly traces of his influence not only through memories, but Allen's heart as well.
