Can someone help me?
I want to know how I can color manga pages.
I want to be able to do lots of details like shading, highlighting, colors, etc. I strive to become an expert at these things.
Anyone want to provide tips? Things such as tool usage, plugins, etc.?
I'd also like to know how to color over dark colors, such as the grays in this picture.
Any and all help would be very appreciated.
Couldn't be fucked
I'm no expert, I'm also sure I'm pretty much a lousy beginner, but I thought that this tutorial was nice. http://www.naruto2.com/Naruto2/Zaros...gTutorial.aspx
Why don't more people read these mangas?
I suggest u check out the pdf that I uploaded recently in this thread http://mangashare.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7130
I am new to coloring too, so I do understand what you are going through, can you show us some of your work, so we can say what part do you need help in.

This is what I colored! and this is my third colored manga page.
Ravijha85 has a great tutorial..you should try that first..after you done with it..share the picture with us..we would help you.
I've been doing cell shading for a month and learned everything through this tutorial
You can check what I get now on my da ( http://rahlie.deviantart.com ).
so what you are saying, is if i want to color for example a page where a character have the air painted in black and you wanted to color it blue, you need to clean the air and leave only the borders?? that looks troublesome... what if for example i reduced the opacity of the lair with the lineart, that would help, no??

the picture i saw was this one link
Try out my tutorial xplosive for gray colorings, it explains everything.
As for the lighting effect of McFranky it's just a play of outerglow, you color what you want lighted in white, added outer/inner glow and then play with the filters to get something cooler, lighting is just about how much you can play while still staying good looking.
thanks RyuSensei, i think a thread like this (if not this one) should be stickied to clarify some quick questions that some persons might have, it could be useful and wouldnt exist so many threads like "please help me" or "anyone know where i can get...", this is only an idea that i think could work!
Link to this "tutorial xplosive?"
And Ryu nailed it with what I'm looking for: simple cel-shading. I'll definitely try that tutorial since brushing in the shading isn't working for me.
I just need some familiarization with the Pen tool. Oh, and do you have that tutorial in a format that can be downloaded?
