anyway i just dont think there's really any proof that itachi DIDNT kill his whole clan. He's not denying it, is he? and the way he was acting, you can tell he's pretty much given up on the clan too

i always thought before i knew of madara in the manga that

Itachi just loved his little bro sasuke and wanted to grant his wish and surpass itachi.. which if i think about it now.. seems really stupid to me xD

Itachi just wants to enjoy seeing his brother killing her mates to finish Sasuke with her own hands. Itachi is evil, is a bad guy. I doubt he loves his brother more than hating him.

About Akatsuki, I think Itachi is just following the AK orders to get his goals, kill Sasuke and Tobi...

I think that even if Madara may have a hand on the Uchiha massacre, the reason Itachi spared his brother's life is because he is a shinobi. I think that he wishes that he dies honorably- in a shinobi's way- by fighting against another strong shinobi, and he may have thought tat Sasuke may be the person that would end his life for him. I mean, in that part when he and Sasuke met where the Akatsuki tried to capture Naruto, he could have easily killed him in just a second, but instead he was king of egging him(Sasu) to defeat him. I couldn't say... Itachi could realy use more lines in the future chapters(And not just a sentence per chapter either!)
