I believe this story isn't related to the main story at all.
Sure, Oda did write it but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is connected to the main story.

i wouldnt mind if the movie was canon, although i dont think oda will do it... i guess oda is only writing the 10th movie because:

1) well it is the 10th movie!
and
2)to celebrate the 500 chapters of one piece!
