Wouldn't it be cool if Pein's eyes are a kekkei genkai at the same lvl of byakagun or sharingan.. or even stronger... is about time some kekkei genkai from another country makes ppl fear...

maybe thats why Itachi is part of the group and not the leader ;p

I see that he is from the Hidden Rain Village or some sort, at the end of the reccent release chapter he gets "mad" or emotional as is unknown feeling (Which could be anything), maybe his powers are to control Mother Nature as in Wind/Earth/Lightning etc. i mean to prove this, Itachi stated it at the beggining of the chapter, also that blue haired chick somewhat made it look like it too.. And finally it showed about 5 images of Rain & Lighting on the chapter while "he" as in Pein was acting.

Yeah, he has some kind of ability to control the weather. Or maybe just rain. Since he is from the Hidden Rain Village, that could give him an interesting advantage when fighting.

Presumably his emotions affect the weather.

decent theory but controlling the weather? i think that's way too out there for Naruto anime/manga. I definetly dont think this is his actual ability. I think his name may play a part in what his ability is. "Pein" as in "Pain" and i'm sure u've all noticed those holes on his arm, they should be some type of indication.

Yes, controlling weather is one of his obvious abilities based on the village he was in and the scenes in the last manga chapter.

I am not sure if he directly controls the weather or he has some effect on the weather. In the last manga you Itachi indicates that the rain has passed, that was while Pain was inside. When he goes outside again the bad weather returns. Does not seem to make sense that he would make it stop raining while he is inside and then make it rain again when he steps out. I think it has to be something he is not directly controlling/
