Czech republic played really well but they lost 3-1 against portugal.

The Czech's played well once they put on two strikers. They play too defensively to start off the match. It's the same reason they almost lost against the Swiss. They were really lucky to come out with a win. With both Baros and Koller on they played so much more fluidly. In both games, with just Baros or Koller at front they were only dangerous from set pieces.

Portugal played really well today. Ronaldo on the last goal was really unselfish, was nice to see him like that. Deco was played a great game. Much improved over the first game. He passed the ball much better and seen the pitch really well.

The reason for ronaldos unselfishness was that while he was running with the ball it bounced and hit his shin thus propelling it further than necessary so he had to pass.

I really wanted Czech Rep. to win, but Portugal played better.

When Koller (who should be on the pitch earlier) appeared they should've started playing more offensive.

The greatest pleasure of international football competitions for me is laughing hysterically as that subhuman abomination John Motson yet again struggles through the tears and bile to choke out that most magnificent of phrases "England are ouuuuuuuut". This tournament is somewhat empty without the anticipation of that fateful moment.

I support Portugal. But I don't think they played too well today. The first goal was a bit of luck. Then after that they (don't remember the players) missed the ball a few times. I think Czech played really well, their goalie was so strong but they miss a few chances of scoring (I am thrilled with that LOL).

Still I hope Portugal will win!!!
