At least people can still recognize the power of quality. The movie deserved good sale.

It is questionable whether KyotoAnimation is willing to continue the franchise and make a season 3. The cost combined with pressure and the need to match or surpass season 1 is quite tremendous. Very rarely can sequels live up to the originals.

The most stupid part is that Endless Eight DVD sale numbers were quite good...

I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the extras that they included or even if there were any(For the japanese versions), but on the English release of the DVD there were quite a few. That's actually one of the reasons I bought them because there was like a two hour documentary thing on Real life Haruhi locations and about 50mins of Aya Hirano doing stuff for her super driver video. All in all not that interesting but certainly informative.

I'd boycott the DVD as a form of protest for abusing consumer trust.

And I don't find Aya Hirano to be particularly attractive, other than her voice. Yet she is something of a mini-celebrity after her debut as Haruhi

I consider Aya very attractive. She's nowhere near Shoko-tan but cute nonetheless. <3

The movie is highly recommended! Be sure to watch it in all of its high definition glory. There were some quite interesting moments.

I have it in 1080p. My one friend wants to watch it though so I have to wait for him to finish the series. The sad part is he's excruciatingly slow at watching anime. D:

It's more of the issue that his girlfriend doesn't like anime in general. :/

But it's no big. I'm really close to just watching the movie completely based off the fact that it has a higher rating than Eva 2.0 on MyAnimeList.

Meh, I found the recent trend of anime is quite degrading to females in general. I mean, seriously, what's up with almost all recent animes being practically porn?

I watched both Eva 2.0 and the Haruhi Movie. There is no clear cut winner. It all depends on your personal taste.
