i'm thinking along the lines of how yamamoto came away unscathed after battling two of the strongest.
speed can be acquired.

i think most of the captains are like 1000 years old too.

but what im trying to say is, sooner or later, someone will surpassed him.
(which Aizen already did, and i see Byakuya/Soifon/Zaraki going there)
his only advantage over any other captain is his age, i dont see anything impressive with his techs and zanpaktou.

i can't agree with you on Shunsui and Ukitake as rank 3 and 4.
one is a sick man, other is a slacker
i swear, Byakuya or Zaraki can take out either one.

apart from wielding dual swords, i dont see anything special in them.
all Shunsui ever did is pwning Chad, which any other captain can do at that time.
