Heh. Valhalla huh? Looks more like hell.

Interesting imagery there in Thorfinn's dream. His entire life ever since he witnessed his father be killed when he was just a child, and then becoming a teenage mercenary with only one goal giving his life meaning only to have that taken away from him as well make for some serious drama.
Becoming a slave and losing the will to live only until recently thanks to Einar's influence where he regained it, and now the whole debacle with the wheat shows how sad his life has been for nearly it's entirety. Sucks that he ended up going against his father's wishes for him to live a peaceful life, oblivious to the injustices of the world, but then we wouldn't have this great series now would we?
Valhalla is supposed to be home to the cream of the crop as far as warriors go, a beautiful majestic place where only the strongest of fighters may enter. With how battles have been handled in this manga it's no surprise how the interpretation of it ended up looking like an endless struggle between departed souls.
Yukimura looks to be going for some huge moral point here, and I wonder just how he plans to convey it. Thorfinn will most likely never go back to the cruel killing machine he once was, but he may find a reason to fight for what he considers important and instill some of the action which Vinland Saga became notorious for in the early going.
Einar also looks to be a capable fighter himself. Able to take and deal out more punishment with his durability and brute strength respectively in contrast to Thorfinn's speedy strikes to the bodies' vital points. Can't wait to get the the core of the nightmare.
Yes! Farmland Saga is about to end at last! And Vinland Saga resumes its awesomeness...hopefully ^^
New chapter has been translated by the usual dream team of Bink and Stream.

Vinland Saga will be on break next month, and won't return with a new chapter until March 25 so enjoy this one while you can.
I rather like Farmland Saga and the way Canute decided to walk a new path was very poignant - forced to acknowledge the dozens of men he's killed.
Canute really has descended into madness. Tut-tut.

Isn't all this inner self psychological self-realization life-loving process Thorfinn has been going through just putting an end to the Thorfinn warrior we are all eager to see in action again? :(
