who in your opinion is the best mangaka of all time? Take into consideration before you answer number of mangas written consistency, diverse manga plotlines etc
Ill start of by stating that my vote goes for rumiko takahashi

Maison ikkoku

I like Rumiko Takahashi, but it seems her stories are the same romance all over again.
Off the top of my head, I'll go with Takehiko Inoue for Slam Dunk and Vagabond.

Agreed. I enjoyed Ranma 1/2, but her manga seems to be the same romance rehashed in a different setting.

it is true that most of rumiko takahashi's manga is a romance story but i said that she is alltime best because i personally think her stuff is hilarious i like to compare it to early dragonball but i read her stuff time and again and im still not bored with it.

Akamatsu Ken for perfecting -through Negima!- the fine art of mixing action and fanservice.
Kumeta Kouji for saying bollocks to action and giving us the epitome of black comedy when it comes to manga.
They're tied for me. I'm not voting these two due to their collective works, But for their style

Hiromu Arakawa or Nobuhiro Watsuki.
Fullmetal Alchemist and Rurouni Kenshin, Busou Renkin wasn't bad either. Absolutely love them.

I loved Busou Renkin, Meteor Strike, Gun Blaze West.
Not to mention Embalming -The Another Tale of Frankenstein-
and my all time favorite manga, Rurouni Kenshin.
