I have to take this time to laugh at everyone who actually believed that DB was going to change format to MKV because they said they would. 167 is up and low and behold, it's in AVI. Big surprise, the threat to switch format was just another troll.

They released 166 in "HD" format, that was a .mkv file.

If you downloaded it, it just said something like, "YEAH RIGHT!.. We will never release in mkv!!!111!!!"

I'm curious, since I'm not some computer genius or anything, but what's wrong with stuff in mkv format ?
I download Code Geass in mkv format and its in like HD or something and its still fine.....
So what's wrong with using mkv?

I actually knew it was a fake. but i Downloaded the fake episode to waste time; i uploaded about 2Gb of it. And i already watched it in HD from another fansub group that tried, it was ok.

it was good. only 166 is in .mkv file format and in HD(H264) format; 170mb by Flomp and Rumble [Flomp-Rumble].

Hate or love the buggers but they do have style...

They do don't they? I just like annoying them with my floating IP, they used to ban me about once a week from the chatroom. Now they just make jokes about sending me a fatal virus, I think it sounds like fun because I have a few good ones of my own. They haven't yet though, so on goes our love hate relationship.

MKV is ok, but as there isn't really any problem with AVI I see no real reason for them to change, considering fully half of the people who download from them wouldn't be able to view MKV on older systems.
