Although I haven't played a Mario game in a long time, I'll say it's Mario because it has been going on forever now, and people still love him. Although same could be said for a lot of those titles.

There are a ton of good ones, but nothing has had an affect on my love for video games as much as Final Fantasy has. Great storylines, great gameplay ... what more can you ask for?

So this is your argument for the greatness of Final Fantasy? LOL What Square-Enix is doing now is making money on FF fans and destroying the cult of FFVII.

ps. FFVXIII, FFAXIII and some other games you mentioned haven't been released yet, so you can't praise them.

I like MGS series but when I see what they are doing now with MGS4, I choose ZELDA. With some exceptions all games from this series were good

My argument is that nobody would allow you to make all those games, nor would there have been so many spin-offs spawned from it, if it wasn't pure greatness. And I don't see anything wrong with what Square-Enix is doing right now, when the fans that purchase games from the FFVII Compilation are enjoying them. They're expanding the universe of FFVII and I love that they did that. I always wanted to learn more about Zack and be able to play as him, and now with Crisis Core I can. If they made lousy games, then it'd be clear that they're just looking for cash, but Square is still producing high quality games. If they ever do a remake of FFVII THEN they'll be making money off of FF fans.

Oh and for you other guys, there's no Halo because Halo is just a remake of Metroid for the XBOX fanboys. The only difference is Samus is now some military spartan, and the space pirates worship some giant doomsday hoola hoop. I never saw what was so great about Halo. I enjoyed the first game's campaign a lot, played through it many times...but that's about it. If anyone was making games just for the money it was Bungie/Microsoft with their Halo...cuz 2 and 3 were nothing special.
