I doubt this is more than just a prank. They usually post stuff and let the reader decide what to make of it. I think they like reading/laughing at the serious responses they get.

This is just stupid. Why would local cops crack down on pirates. Excuse me, but piracy is a federal crime here in the United States. It would have beeen the FBI. YHBT.

Plus, something this stupid would have been reported in more places than the Dattebayo website. LOL

My guess would be this is another GNAA prank. But who knows for sure but them and the police. DB is still up and running so at the very least nothing changed.
