Funimation's Dub

Funimation's dub began airing just recently. Their episodes are all uncut and have begun with the Skypiea Saga - Jaya Arc. Plus the voice actors have been changed. What does everyone think of the new dub, is it better than 4kid's.

i dont know but they got the dude that played piccolo playing him. they got the guy who played maes hughes playing ussop.finally i will watch the english version of one piece

I like the new dub, they did a really good job with the opening and ending songs in english, plus the voices are a hell of a lot better (Love Robin's and Usopp's the most)

Sanjis voice is a little too gruff in my opinion and Choppers is a little too girly too (I admit choppers voice is probably the hardest to do)

Episode i watched was 105 Dub version (144 original)

I love the fact they kept all the original music for the episode.

Only edits that caught my attention was the editing out of sanji's cigarette's (No cigarette's are better than lolipop's) and the only other change i saw was taking out the puns when talking to Mashira.

Overall it was a really good job on funimations part, I tend not to watch subs over dubs 90% of the time, but i make an exception For my favorite anime, i would give it 10/10

It's still Zolo. You can see that on the ending credit. Funimation did an excellent job translating the ending song(no idea with the name).

Luffy's voice is OK...The old Luffy's voice is much better. The voice actor of Luffy could try to be a bit more high pitched...Luffy's voice sounds more manlish than boylish...and it's also losing the classic Luffyness. Usopp's voice could try to be a tiny bit higher pitched as well, since a coward wasn't supposed to have a manly voice. The rest are ok.

Sanji doesn't have a Brooklyn accent and Robin isn't southern.

I'm happy.

The voices still suck, alas the voice clips used were not in the One Piece character channeling that the voice actors/actresses will be in.

In all honesty, I will need to watch an episode to fully have an opinion of Funimation's version.

Is there any full episodes yet on you tube or etc?
