I agree with you, if anything this will be a way to get attention.

Still though, with the recent crackdown of manga and anime fan sites. It makes me personally wonder if companies like Geneon are trying to stop fansubbers from doing what they can't. Providing actual Japanese media in it's original format to end users.

Even with a crackdown I'd say it would be more then difficult to try to stop people subbing series that are as popular as naruto and bleach, they couldn't stop the last eps of Death Note being released either
