On a more thoughtful note, I had wondered whether ichigo had even bothered to meditate with Zangetsu after regaining his powers. Whether he could go into the state he was before he used FGT (without actually using it). Whether Ichigo could use the powers of Hichogo Level 3 (the one that Kiboshed Ulquiorra), without needing the mask since when he last faced Aizen, his Hollw powers and Shinigami powers had been fully integrated.
