yuyu hakusho question

i watched the anime ages ago and so i knew the ending with yusuke fighting yomi and yusuke's version of the sacred/holy energy. well i downloaded all the manga coupla weeks ago and i just finished reading them. it seems like the fights between yusuke and yomi, hiei and mukuru, and kurama and shigure are missing alot of parts. well, so was all that in the anime just additions or am i missing chapters. cause if im not missing chapters and the anime added the fights at the end, the anime is way better.

can someone whoes read the manga answer my question?

Yeah I was wondering something the same. I was reading the manga and the chapter ended with fighting. Then the next chapter started with everyone in the human world, and Yusuke giving a very breif description of the fights and who won the tournament. It really sucked. You can't build up something like that for so long and end it the Yusuke saying " oh so and so won, he but this guy. I lost to this guy" It was horrible. Show me the good fights, especially the finals damnit.

yeah. So was I. Especially since I stopped watching the anime around the battle with the former spirit detective (cant remember name sansui). Damn cartoon network, leave on crappy shows and move that show to a 5 am spot. Yeah its really gonna get ratings there. Next thing you know its cancelled and I don't know what the hell happened.

I read the italian paper version years ago.
Last part of the manga (volume 19) is just sketched, as it happens in the some of latest chapters of HxH.
The manga ends with the tournament, won by the fatty guy, skipping all the fightings.

The anime is pretty the same, with some fillers episodes.

the anime shows the fight between yususke and yomi, kurama and shigure( i think), and hiei and mukuru. the manga skips that so thats the reason i prefer the anime lqtm

The problem is that Togashi, as mangaka, is pretty lazy.
But I can understand him: when ur wife may wear a Sailormoon suit whenever u ask her... ^_^

I actually i love the way the manga ends, i think it fits perfectly with the series, just ending with meaning rather than a big show.

I never really like the ending. But yes, Toshihiro was fairly lazy when it came to writing, but he was also very sick alot of the time during the writing process, so alot was left out, which is very disappointing.
