Ace and Luffy have different goals, Ace is bent on making whitebeard the next king of the pirates and Luffy's goal is his own as well. So I don't see this happening, though a momentary team-up is possible.

Boa luffy's mom goes there only to help ace. luffy goes with her to help ace. The SH crew find their way there and they all meet up. Kuma and Rayleigh also go there to save ace. Lol this would be so sweet.

2. ace wants WB to be pirate king, luffy wants to be the pirate king himself
3. ace + luffy in a team will be an overkill ->
4. luffy is the captain,, its not suitable to have a subordinate who is 100 times stronger than himself
5. ace resembles luffy too much (eating like hell and simple minded).. it'll be boring to have 2 same characters.
6. What the mugiwara need is a new FEMALE crew.. i dont care whoever she is.. (hancock?? lol)
