Jimbei did say that only if he took a liking to luffy that he'd look after him and that's what jimbei's doing right now. But ace also told jimbei about how much the crew takes care of luffy so he'll only be looking after luffy until the crew is reunited cause once they are together, jimbei will have no need to look after luffy anymore

hancock:
almost certain, cnt live without luffy

margerrette:
if hancock dont she will

crocodile:
meeting up in the new world may join crew if luffy forgives him

jimbei:
old, may not want to join but may do so just because hes good friends with luffy and is aces brother

bon kurei:
IF hes still alive he MUST join as there were two times when the straw hats really considered it but then by sacrificing himself could not do so. dedicated to the crew.

perona:
may still hold a grudge against usopp but since she formed a new bond with zoro a chance of recruitment is still there

I'm going to say no to all of those choices.

Long story short, the only way we'll know who will be the next member is if someone comes out with a big dream. every SH has a big dream, so that's how we'll know who it'll be

this sounds a bit like you just read through the thread and picked out what most of us are saying.
also NO boa will not join for many reasons neither will jimbi
perona, Margarette, and MR.2 are at the top of most of our lists right now
and croc was a theory i brought up not to long ago that is very very unlikely

Why is Boa and jimbei not likely to join? I'm very curious about this "many reasons" you have.

well like i said unlikely im not saying its 100% not possible
but
1. they both have there own problems and there home lands to worry about.
2. they are to well established all ready and would do more harm then good.
3. they are two strong and if oda added them its would be a bit uncreative and oda is so creative that he could find better and more creative ways to beef up the crew.

Boa really doesn't have a problem per say because her leaving is the exact same thing as her predecessor. And as long as she remains a warlord, the government will protect her island. As far as Jimbei goes, one can use the argument of saying he will be keeping his word to Ace as far as looking out for Luffy. As of now he is still sticking with Luffy. If he really needed to protect his island he would of left after Rayleigh came.
