why would he want to stay on an island where the island itself could eat him if he lets his guard down? and he has been building a connection with usopp. he's been looking out for him and saving him the whole time on the island.
usopp wont be able to escape an island like that all by himself especally in the condition he's in

But then if he will go with Usopp then what is stopping Oda from making the bird with Chopper coming as well, or Perona with Zoro and Nami with that sky guy
