Madara withdrew his hand, Itachi was dying.

Sasuke with his eyes closed.

Itachi: Such brutality!!! It's too much!!!! (<--- picture the same atmosphere as Jojo's AC/DC with Itachi's tear glands completely destroyed)

For Itachi, his doujutsu did not activate.

Summary by Kumanri
To summarise the stuff up there, Itachi had momentarily regained his true personality and told Sasuke to kill him, because Madara had been controlling him and his true self will eventually be erased. Unfortunately, Sasuke didn't have the time to decide as the Madara-induced Itachi personality returned to attack him. Chapter ends with Itachi using Amaterasu.
