Kakashi's Mangekyou spoils Madara's plans?

Here's the problem. See Panel Here

Itachi says "If you can awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan, then there will be three people who can use it , including myself."

At the time Itachi said this, Kakashi had not awakened his Mangekyou yet. So there must have been one other person besides Itachi and Sasuke, and this has to be Madara as confirmed by Itachi (HERE).

Problem is now there is a fourth User of the Mangekyou (if Saske ever get one) that is Kakashi. Is this an error in the plot, or is Kishi allowing Kakashi's Mangekyou as a wild card?

Since Kakashi is not of Uchiha blood, i doubt him having Mangekyou will put a damper on Madara's plans.

i too doubt that it will have any role in the story line. surly, kakashi's MS is powerfull, but as far as we know it, MS is used mainly for Tsiukomi (or however u spell it) and controling kyuubi. and for that i guess u need an uchicha blood/body.

I'm not sure, re-reading 385, that Uchiha blood was a requirement.

Did anyone notice in the last page (16) of chapter 385, that Itachi turned on the Mangekyou?

Hmm..I don't think Itachi knew about Kakashi's MS, but I don't think it should matter to Tobi/Madara. After all, he's winsome and completely made of win.

At the time, Kakashi had a Sharingan. Madara probably took this into account and saw it as no threat. Maybe he knew that it would mutate into something that isn't as good as his own.

kakashi having his own MS might cause a slight shift in itachi's plans since he couldn't hide his suprise when he confronted him during gaara rescue arc

i don't think kakashi having the MS will severly hamper any of itachi's and madara's plans.

When Itachi made that comment he was not aware of Kakashi's ability to obtain MS. I don't think it was a plot error. Kishimoto plans the plot way in advance. For example, showing in a very early volume Naruto with a frog, Sasuke with a snake and Sakura with a snail. So it's all a part of Kishi-sama's plot.

Also, in the absence of the uchiha blood the MS has so many negative effects on Kakashi which doesn't make it a very good wild card.
