nope, Van is better than Orihime. Not once did I see him utter "Ageha-kun"

Technically, they are NOT dead... yet. Amamiya just said so, there was no true basis for that. Elmore also said that she [Amamiya] should not rush to conclusions.

Lastly, damn... it has been a few chapters to finally introduce the main protagonists then they'd go dead? That's lame.
