jokes aside i don't think this ability would work on someone who has higher reiatsu/reishi than the user... unless buckbeard has a higher level of reiatsu than yama-ji has

The way i see it ichido already broke opie halo thing that causes him to absorb... so opie can't probably absorb again unless that thing can regenerate.... though in the mangastream version it is made clear is worried and threatened by ichigo's bankai..... "Bankai.... Oh no!" while being caught off guard, while his halo being broken.... i'd give ichigo 1-2 chapters at most to wrap it up and we can see were urahara went to and the probable destruction of SS.... this will have a long ass battle
