I doesn't seem to far-fetched to me. With all that they have been through, they deserve some happiness. But it seems since the J-man is basically done for that this isn't gonna happen.

well I do believe Tsunade has feelings for Jiriaya... but not that kind of feelings...

I think its just the ironic situation where Jiraiya finally gets a chance with Tsunade, but dies. Also, since people that Tsunade loves get killed, it might fit that pattern as well.
