How many guys read Shojo mangas?

but i digress, i don't find it embarrassing or shameful to read shoujo's, the only thing that wierds me out is the awkwardness of being the only guy discussing them most of the time >_>

Err...in a way, Shoujo is a style of manga aimed at females, mainly romance/comedy genre.

it depends on the manga really. i know iv read 1 what is definatly shojo, sizuki. but im not to sure if love hina would count as 1.

I love Shoujo. I completly agree with alot of people here in saying that there is nothing wrong with it. Something interesting about one of the posts eariler about not playing a female character in a game just cause she's a girl: Yeah, tell me that after you finished Metroid lol *Shhhhh, don't spoil the end lol. Anyways, the majority of what I read or watch is shoujo. I love D.N.Angel (the manga), Furuba (the manga, for now unless it has a crappy ending like the anime), Kare Kano, and most recently Karin which I'm pretty sure is classified under Shoujo (probably the series for those who want a nice balance). I don't care what the heck anyone thinks of me for watching them and I'm proud to watch those shows. I ask some really dedicated otaku's, what's the story in your fav anime? Some have the nerve to answer "who cares as long as there's blood. Blood makes everything good." That's nothing but junk. I love comedy so Shoujo is perfect for me. Ok my rant is done (or so it seems lol. Naw it's done. Or is it?). Pretty good for my first post lol. Nice topic by the way.

Much like the post said earlier in the topic by someone, same here. No boy x boy love or girl x girl love in the story for me. No amount of brain study could ever find a cure. I think they'd find a cure for more diseases before they get me to watch shouen/shoujo ai. Not that I have any problems with gay couples. I just really don't like watching anime with those pairings. It's creepy enough with just the assumption that all the other characters have.

Thank you I shall. I'm glad you agree. The standards for most shounen are pretty dull now a days. Even in the past they were. DBZ had nothing but talking and what little fighting with as basic attacks you could ever see so everyone copies them just because it's so popular. No story=no good. I forgot in all of the anime I listed that I should have included Marmalade Boy. Very good series.
