that could be a date. i mean remember jiraiya was supposed to be writing something of a journal entry of things he saw. so he would most likely date things as he wrote it in the journal.

Umm I think that this number 9, 31, 8 maybe is some kind of code if someone saw national treasure may know what I talking about remember the code behind the declaration of independe tree line that form a code that was the number of page the number of sentence and the number of the word I think this can be the same but in the book of jiraiya and the other number 106, 7 207,16 those look like coordinates. I don't know. If I were Jiriah and within mere seconds of dying, would I write the Number of a page in a book, or even books in this case, or would I just simply write the name of the bad dude and get the message out fast, before I expire?
