    Well.... to get started;

    The story is about two brothers who lose their mother in a fire caused by a demon(this happens when Sam is a baby and Dean is a little older). The reason was because the demon was doing something to Sam (what, you've gotta find out yourself) when their mother walked in to check upon Sam. the demon killed her and so their father wants revenge and trains them, especially Dean, to fight ghosts and demons. At the beginning of the series Dean meets up with Sam after being separated for some time and tells him their father has gone missing. Sam had originally quitted hunting(as they call it) and was about to get a normal job and get married. But he joins Dean on this one, to find their father. They return without a clue about their father's whereabouts and almost split up because Sam has to return to his "normal" life. But when Sam returns home, he finds his girlfriend killed in the same way their mother was killed. He then decides to join Dean on the "hunt" for their disappeared father and the demon who killed their mother.

    The first season is mostly huntings they come across while looking for their father. He sometimes also leaves clues about work they have to do. In the second season they try to fins out why the demon killed their mother and what it did to Sam. In the third, well I can't exactly say anything without revealing something very important so I won't say what happens, 'cause that would ruin the surprise ^^.

    Along with the huntings comes quarrels between the brothers because Sam doesn't want to do the inbetween jobs, he only wants to find their father so they can get revenge, while Dean insists on doing the jobs their dad gives them (he leaves clues that the brothers pick up).

    Though it seems kinda depressing the way I've explained it, it is also a lot of humor and many funny moments ^^

    That was very roughly put but I hope that helped you understand more. Anything you wanna know, just ask.

    Dean is one of the funniest characters I've seen in a long time, espicially since its not a comedy series.

    If you don't find the first couple of episodes great, keep going. Its like any show it doesn't come into its on for a while into it. I was a fan of friends, I went back and watched the first couple of episodes and thought it was horrible. It was awkward and the characters and dialogue seemed strange.

    Haha, I agree. I laughed when Dean asked Sam if myspace was a porn site

    Yeah, I agree with that too. The first episodes can be a little boring but the later ones are great.

    There's an interesting storyline but there's different kind of episodes. You've got episodes that deal with the main storyline then you have standalone episodes. Standalone episodes are the ones where they do hunting on the side while dealing with the main storyline. They have some good standalones but I'm guessing that might be why it may seem like there's no plot if you've only seen a random episode or two. Also, it starts off slow with the story but it really gets interesting when the yellow eyed demon comes into play as well as the Winchester boys' dad.

    Essentially, Season 1 had little plot. But by the time they reached the season finale and entered season 2 things really started heating up. Supernatural is a show that amazes me, as it is one that keeps getting better all the time. It has come a long way since the mildly entertaining 'Pilot' episode.

    Yeah, but, the pilot was scarier than recent episodes. I remember they said to watch it in the dark when it first came out, like they were trying to startle you.
