Lol have a heart..... he was a very loyal subject to yamamoto and has his personal reasons on why he doesn't want to fight or use his bankai like ikkaku did although in a different manner....... Regarding why sasakibe was shown as weak even if he did existed before gotei13 or achieve bankai before ukitake and kyoraku i remember aizen's line of speech to ichigo on soukyoku heal about shinigami limits and i quote..... "There are limits to how strong a shinigami can become.....no matter which of those skills he chooses...... there comes a point at which he will have mastered it...... and all his growth will stop there.....as a shinigami he has reached his limits"... This is why i believe sasakibe reached his limit a long time ago only to be dispatched by an SS ichigo who already attained bankai and as we all know stronger that anybody can imagine.... if sasakibe was dispatch by chad at soukyoku hill then i'd call it BS that he has a bankai...ikkaku at that time had already bankai...yet he was defeated by ichigo(before he attained bankai) due to ikkaku's selfish reason of not letting anyone feel or see his bankai and also to fight at the same level as his opponent ... this is ichigo we are talking about... a freak in terms of power levels and potentials and don't forget the protagonist

Hard to judge the chapter since nothing happened. We knew Barragan and Stark were dead. We don't know how the hell Halibel could've possibly survived, and neither was it touched upon here. We learn we were supposed to give a shit about Sasakibe and his plight, but we still don't. If you want a reaction, Kubo, kill an important character. We don't really learn how/when the Quincy conquered Hueco Mundo.

So...yeah. Nothing. Just a lot of captains acknowledging how truly useless the dead VC was and talking crotches. I was SOOO hoping that "Buckbeard" had specifically tracked down Nel's fraccion first and 'sploded them, just out of principle. Why we're being treated to the single most irritating and fucking purposeless fucking arrancar in existence AGAIN is beyond me.

Don't! Don't...don't do that. Don't act like we are meant to have any respect for Sasakibe. Hell, even his fellow captains had no respect for him. Those rumors were just Kubo browsing a forum somewhere and coming back with readers' feedback about the useless 1st vice-captain. This was nothing more than a hurried, half-attempted attempt to convince anyone that they should give one shit (much less two) that Sasakibe got slaughtered.

Don't be a "Tyler Perry fan" for Kubo--Don't give him a free pass just for showing up.

Kubo specifically designed Sasakibe to be the most bland character possible (Kubo himself has pointed it out many times) And I don't really see a different way he could have introduced backstory for him, and no it wasn't rushed, it makes sense, he was purposely bland to avoid attention so that he wouldn't be promoted. Fits with his (lack of) character.

You must not be in your right mind if you think that any of this makes sense.It s a different think to reveal that a character who's strength wasnt shown was immensely strong and a different think to show a character who was a confirmed weakling as being strong.

The guy who was beaten by bare handed shikai SS Ichigo is not only a captain level fighter but also someone who even managed to reach bankai before Shunsui and Uki the two strongest captains besides Yama.

Gimme a break.Thats just Kubo making huge story writting mistakes and everyone who tries to deny such an obvious thing is just making excuses.

Unfortunately your probably right, as I myself am well aware that Kubo can be a horrible writer. It was just so much of a one sided argument I felt there needed to be at least a one person on Kubo's side. But I don't believe in Kubo enough to excuse this, so yes, I do agree with you.

I know how you feel.Bleach used to be my favorite manga and in the beginning i was one those who tried to justify Kubo's mistakes believing everything would be explained with a believable excuse later.I've realised my mistake a long time ago hough.

Yes the implication was that he was somewhat superior to the seniors.I mean wtf?Kubo just keeps getting worse by the chapter.I swear that i've thought many times lately that Kubo cant get any worse than he already is,yet he keeps proving me wrong.
