and there bares another question, why would, Hody and his crew attack Fishman Island, knowing that it's under the protection of someone like Big Mam?.

Idt that Big Mam gives a damn about fishman island aside from it producing candy for her, much like nobility within a state oversees a colony for capital gain. As seen and mentioned throughout this arc, this ruthlessness and conflict has been happening for months with Big Mam doing little to resolve it.

As for Hodi attacking his own homeland, his mindset was that of racial hatred exstending as far as terrorism. Much like what Brazilian society experiences with the lighter toned Brazilian black skin people viewing the darker skinned blacks as unequal and unfit to bear the name of Brazilian, so too does Hodi view much of fishmen humanity as being an unimportant species, despite being one himself. As One Piece Wiki will note, much of the actions of the NFPs parallels that of the KKK and Mid-Eastern terrorists, again illustrating that in their minds, they are the only ones "holy" enough to lead their kind out of the darkness and to the chosen place. Any one who does not adapt to their mindset, is seen as unholy and not able to be worth of salvation.
