Hm...where to start..

Corel Works (I've started using Corel way before I began PS.)
This is when I was still learning how to first use Corel. I was just messing around with it, asking questions to my dad, who is a graphic artist, and learning things myself. BloodyShot is my Ragnarok Extreme name. o.O; For Ragnarok Online. No questions asked. ^^

All I gotta say is, Photoshop masking is WAY better then corel, but PS has nothing on corel's masking process. ^^

I'm still learning! D: I've started taking classes 4 weeks ago and my classes end next week. Hopefully I'll learn more in school too. I take college classes for PS now. o.O; (Not supposed to. Underage...>D)

Thing is, the class sucks. Super easy and very boring. <.<; I wanna learn to do stuff like your Death Note sig. @.@;

Look around for PSD's and guides, and just follow what they did in their steps. Go to one of the other threads in this forum section, I forget which one. I posted a link to a very nice guide.

quite basic? i recomend you to you marcrimedia Fireworks so much more easier than Photoshop cs3

Search around DeviantArt, they have more than a few tuts that will help you out a lot.
