This is what i hate about the darn anime, freaking useless. almost every episode in this ark has almost half of useless recap that people already knw.

They must be catching up to the manga too fast, and decided to use their traditional flashback approach to build up the emotional tension for the Team 7 reunion. Only problem is they've used ALL of those flashbacks countless times. There have been multiple episodes dedicated to those exact flashbacks.

I'm starting to wonder if one of the reasons I loved the Pain arc so much was because it focused on the bonds between Naruto and Jiraiya, or Naruto and the rest of Konoha, and ignored Sasuke for a bit.

The episode wasn't that bad, much better than the flashbacks of Sakura from the previous episode.

Looks like some Kakashi vs Sasuke in the next episode.
