That earthquake is immense. I know Japanese are very well prepared in this kind of situations so let's hope the casualties would be minimal.

With the one here in NZ just over three weeks ago and then the one(s) in japan this week. Certainly not very pleasant to say the least.

Got up out of bed when I heard about this one. Live coverage on BBC as well: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12307698

Just seeing the water moving across with debris was shocking. I pray that the casualties are minimum and its good that buildings haven't been collapsing. One less thing to worry about...

Definitely a tragedy, as well as very sad to see. I hope everyone there is ok, and for any MS members in Japan as well as the neighboring countries that will be affected by the tsunami, I hope you all will be ok.

I know we have at least a few members who live in japan I hope they are safe.

The aftermath of debris left in the streets is surreal but more importantly the danger is not over yet for those in Hawaii and West coast US so be careful if thats you. Not the time to go to the beach.

Breaking news is that a ship with 100 people was swept away. This is really something else...I've never seen real footage like that - the water is just swallowing up everything in its wake.
