well..i already said we need to thank the brothers for killing the2nd...but now i hate them..their weapons really similar from the journey of the west saga....darui give this chap 4 me..i hope he can find a way to beat those brothers again......

You silly little girl, that's exactly what they are, they're exactly the same as from the journey to the west, and the two brothers are based on the legendary offsprings of kyubi kitsune from that legend (kishi made the kyubi eat em and spit em out, lol). And the same weapons will be used against them if Kishi follows through according to the legend. He loves incorporating mythology into his story.

Anyways, gave this chapter a 5/5, absolutely loved it. Btw, the weapons will most likely come into play in the future when Uzumaki Naruto becomes the yondaime Rikudou Sennin and is given the task to seal the jyubi for good. We know he has already gotten or will get the full yasakani no magatama necklace of Rikudou either in the form of his current RSM seal or quite possibly a physical artifact. I can see Naruto using the gourd to some extent along with Rikudou's staff maybe. Also the kin-gin brothers possess 4 of the treasures, the 5th one, the flask is missing, which would possibly come into play later. Could it be the same flask Susanoo was holding?

Anyways some further thoughts from the spoiler thread, might be jumbled cause it was before the full script was out. POW also had some interesting info.

Well, Susanoo's weapons most likely belonged to Rikudou Sennin as well, along with Kin-Gin treasures of Rikudou. They were most likely split between the 2 sons of Rikudou, with the elder son getting the spiritual sword of totskano no Tsurugi and yata's mirror (along with the spiriutal half of the rinnegan).

In mythology the yata's mirror was used to lure out Amaterasu, it belongs to her, so the elder son was given the 4 jutsus of Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, Susanoo, and Izanami along with the spiritual weapons.

And the younger son who got the physical half of the rinnegan's power, would've gotten the mokuton and the yasakani no magatama, which itself is a physical seal/necklace as shown on Naruto, and prolly would've gotten the other physical treasures as well which became lost over centuries and ended up in the hands of Itachi and Kin-Gin brothers somehow which we'll find out later.

The sealing pot the 3rd Raikage used to seal the 8 tails into is most likely the same Gourd, one of the sacred treasures of Rikudou possessed by the KinGin brothers.

The Kin-Gin brothers knew about the 3rd Raikage's kaminari power, it is as if they cultivated his power themselves as in they were prolly the 3rd raikage's senseis/jounin.

The Kin-Gin brothers would've been similar age to Niidaime hokage Tobirama, and the 3rd raikage would've been at the same age as Sandaime hokage Sarutobi, meaning both the sandaime raikage and sandaime hokage were underlings under Tobirama and kin-gin brothers respectively.

After their death, the 3rd raikage would've had access to these cherished treasures. The gourd seems capable of sealing both souls and bijuus if it's the same one the 3rd raikage used on chapter 494 I believe.

All of Rikudou's belongings such as the spiritual weapons/5 treasures and his knowledge of fuuinjutsus such as the jinchuriki method were being preserved by different clans across the lands.

We need more info on the times before Madara gained the Mangekyou and was able to take control of the kyubi, the kyubi before that was most likely sealed in a cloud jinchuriki who would've been the mother of kin-gin brothers thus they have the same whiskers as Naruto and tinged with the kyubi chakra. We know jinchuriki sealing knowledge was passed down since Rikudou over the centuries (thousand or more years), so the warring clans before Shodaime setup the 5 ninja village system each would've been vying for bijuu power, until Madara and Hashirama became the first since Rikudou to control the bijuus.

Susanoo itself is an onmyoton release for sure.
Amaterasu = yang
Tsukuyomi = yin
Izanagi/Izanami = Onmyoton

Soul sealing Gourd - onmyoton as well as it's a physical object that seals souls.

I think Rikudou left all this stuff in order to ensure that his descendants would have the proper tools to take care of the bijuus. His sons were supposed to have worked in harmony to protect the future until their feud messed up Rikudou's plans. Rikudou's Amaterasu would've turned black due to the elder son's hatred/going to hell.

Oh and poor Samui's soul got sealed cause she thought of the word, LOL.

What you fail to realize is the origin of these is Japanese mythology not Dragonball thats why you see similarities sometimes in several different anime stories. Dragonball itself is based on the mythological story of Journey to the West the same story that has the 5 sacred treasures.

I would bet the Pot the 3rd Raikage used to seal the 8 tails is one of these.

Uh NO. Let's see, rinnegan being based on buddhist mythology/philosophy, each Mangekyou jutsu being based on the shinto gods, and the concepts of the yin/yang being based on the tao, on top of that other japanese legends of Jiraiya/Tsunade/Oro and hydra Oro/Susanoo battles, and weaving it all into the story flawlessly, I'm pretty sure Kishi does it better. I could go on but no.
