It's pretty much ruled out that he is, since Arlong is a blue sawshark-fishman and Hodi Jones is aparently described as a great white shark-fishman.

Oh yeah forgot Arlong was said to be that. Well anyways the pics pretty much ruled it out regardless.

Didn't chapter 610 come out like two days ago? Damn, I've been working too much. I knew Jones was weak compared to Luffy. He will have to take those steroids to compare.

Eh the way Oda goes towards Jones will go crazy with drugs and go out of control and be to strong for Luffy forcing Luffy to probably take the steroids to

... for me, besides being different types (and coloring) of sharks, Hodi just looks like a distorted version of Arlong. Distortions that might have been explained by time or "experiments done on him" in jail? Or a more direct relative as well, I guess. Just pointing this out.
