Yeah, that's a pretty bad idea. The league is just working its way back to its roots of basketball as a team sport and not a game of stars.

A hard-coded tag like that would be a step backward.

yeah and the player association will never go for it. they owners just do not want have a james or melo situation happen to them. but it would just destroy NBA free agency and since the NBA is approaching NFL level of buzz for its off season that would just hurt the NBA and as you said destroy years of progress

Lets go Celtics!!!! Their team is ridiculous. Once their entire team gets healthy they may be unstoppable. Paul Pierce really is the truth! KG is a beast. Ray is a snipper. as the trade dead line is coming there are teams looking for players to make a push, teams just looking to make a change and teams looking to continue a rebuild or unload in order to begin a rebuild.

word on the street is that the lakers are looking to make some moves. now whether this is just a statement to get people talk or if it is really in the works who knows.

but here is what i do know they do not have much to trade or rather not much there willing to trade. and the people they are willing to trade are not very trade able. so what ever happens it will be fun to watch.

the thing with him is his contract is not desirable, he is getting up there in basket ball years, and he is not having a very good season in any sense. so he in particular is not trad able at all.

Pau and Duncan are both tagged as Forwards (even if they both play center). They can't replace Yao. That's why when Duncan was injured last year (or the one before), it was Nowitzki who replaced him.
