Who do you think is currently the strongest character of naruto?

Sasuke seems pretty weak, he was almost not able to defeat Deidara.
Naruto is just not the strongest, when he uses kuuyibi's maximum power, he wouldn't be alive anymore.
Jiraiya is the best sannin at this moment, but I doubt he is stronger than the first hokage.
Tobi wasn't able to beat the first hokage, but I bet he trained very much I bet. So I think Tobi is the strongest person. Pein is also pretty strong, but I think he has that power not from his own and only use summon techniques.

I haven't seen Itachi fight seriously yet, and I think he's only taking orders from Pein becaus he has his own agenda. So I think Itachi is the strongest.

when dead chars will do i would say minato.
when not then jiraiya they didnt wanted him as hokage of the leaf because he is weak.
from the other guys we havent seen enough.

sorry for the dump question but when did tobi acutally fight the first hokage?? o.0
till yet we havent tobi seen fighting i tought.(expect the turtle biju and sasuke but well that was not really fighting)

Jiraiya is probably as strong as Kisame and Itachi together so I would say he is the strongest character. Closely followed by Tobi and Pain.

Sasuke, without a doubt, is not weak anymore. He had Deidara beat in every way. Everything Deidara did, he found a way to counter it. When you make someone self destruct to try and kill you, you are one serious badass.
