    i would have to dispute this and agree with the post right after this

    it's not that they were never suppose to return they've been removed from the timeline and so they couldn't change anything or interact with anyone

    the problem with the continuity is if they did that... did they save Tatsuo? or is that a different Tatsuo?

    Tatsuo's faith probably got changed because of events that happened in the present. We'll probably learn about it when Hiryuu speaks with him.
